JESUS REVEALED BY AN ARTIST

My college art instructor told me that I could have a lucrative career in commercial art. Instead, God led me to be a pastor. Here I use my talent to illustrate spiritual truths.

The pictures on the front of this tract are two views of the same chalk drawing. In the upper view the man on the right is pointing the way to Heaven through Christ’s suffering and death on the cross. The man on the left says that he cannot see him. The man on the right answers by telling him that Satan uses many things in this world to blind our eyes and hide the Son. Our natural eyes cannot see what only God reveals through the scriptures.

In the lower view I finish the painting and the man on the left has his spiritual eyes opened to see the truth that Jesus, the Son of God, is the only way to Heaven.

The natural eye will never see the way of salvation. It is only revealed to those who believe the Gospel: that Jesus died and rose again, paying the penalty for our sins. The believer will then have faith to see that which has been eclipsed by our natural sense of lust for earthly things.

YOU SEE THE TRUTH IN THE BIBLE

Look in the Bible with an eye of faith and you will see Jesus dying on the cross for your sins, and you will see the Heaven that Jesus has prepared for you. Read these verses and believe with all your heart in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.

SEE YOUR SIN: “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

SEE THAT YOU ARE DEAD IN SIN: “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

SEE THE LOVE THAT JESUS HAS FOR YOU AS A SINNER: “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

SEE JESUS IN YOUR HEART BY FAITH: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9,10).

SEE YOU CAN NOT SAVE YOURSELF: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works…” (Ephesians 2:8,9)

SEE JESUS BY FAITH, AND REJOICE GREATLY: “Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see Him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls” (1 Peter 1:8,9).

SEE HEAVEN IN THE WORDS OF JESUS: “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also…. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me” (John 14:1-6).

May God open your spiritual eyes and convince your heart to repent and believe on Jesus Christ.

Dear Jesus, I see that I have sinned, and that I cannot do anything to save myself. I trust Jesus to save me. I rejoice in your promise to take me to heaven. Help me to live daily for you, and to tell others about your salvation. AMEN.
