Suggestions & Tips for Using Tracts

For successful tract evangelism, use tracts:

Prayerfully. Ask God to use you, seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit for each tract placed, and then pray for the Lord of harvest to bless His Word to speak to the recipient.

Pleasantly. A friendly smile goes a long way. Whether a tract is accepted or rejected, be polite as we represent the Lord Jesus Christ.

Plentifully. Look for opportunities to use tracts and and make it a habit to take advantage of every situation. Leave at least two copies of a tract so someone will feel better about not taking the last one.

Persistently. Do not be discouraged if the Lord allows you to see few results on this side of Glory. Remember that the Lord says, “So shall My Word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11). Don’t take rejection personally, but instead leave the results to God.

Practically. Tracts can be distributed in most public places, but be careful not to litter.

Properly. Obey all local ordinances. (Some areas or stores, including the US Post Office, have prohibited the distribution of literature.)

Prospectively. Tracts open the door to witness. Use them as a tool to witness, but never as an excuse for not witnessing.

Particularly. Always have a variety of tracts available and be prepared to use them.

Personally. Be willing to have a conversation with the people you are reaching out to. Also, writing or imprinting your contact information on the tract will allow people get in touch with you.
