• What if … your worst nightmare became a reality?

• What if … you knew the day you would die?

• What if … there really is life after death?

• What if … there is a literal heaven and hell?

• What if … God will judge your sins?

• What if … your sin debt could be paid in full?

These are big questions, and it’s no wonder that so many of us try to avoid them. After all, it’s hard enough dealing with the “what ifs” of everyday life. But I have good news for you!

You have two options:

1. Believe on Jesus Christ and be saved.

“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life” (John 3:36).

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:31).

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1).

2. Reject Jesus Christ and be condemned.

“He that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:18).

“He that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him” (John 3:36).

Here are three easy steps how to be saved:

A. Admit to God that you are a sinner.

The Scripture says, “All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

“But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe” (Galatians 3:22).

B. Believe that Jesus died on the cross to wash your sins away.

The Scripture says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:31).

“The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin” (1 John 1:7).

C. Call out to God in faith, asking Him to forgive you of your sins and save you.

Scripture says, “Call unto me, and I will answer thee” (Jeremiah 33:3).

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).

Talk to God, share the burden of your heart, and ask Him to save you. It might sound like this:

“Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus died on the cross to save me from my sins. I ask you to forgive me of my sins and save me. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

If you have put your trust in Jesus Christ to save you, then you are saved. You are now a child of God with the guarantee of eternal life in heaven.

What if … Christ were to return today to take His saints to Heaven to be with Him? You would go with Him, because you have accepted Jesus as your Savior. — George E. Richardson Ph. D.
