Loving someone is probably the closest we can ever come to understanding the depth of what God feels. God is even strangely familiar with rejected love. When we would give up, God just continues loving. Even when He allows us to go, it’s because He loves us. When a relationship is broken, it can cause tremendous pain. Pain often seems to double based on how vulnerable we allowed ourselves to be, and we find ourselves emptied and full of despair.

What can we do with the pain? Pain is a natural part of the healing process. It lets you know that something is wrong; reminding you that something in your spirit must be fixed. It helps to pray. You can tell God things you would never tell anyone or things you wish you could tell someone who no longer will listen.

Will the pain ever go away? The pain passes in time, but the memories can be scars that may last a lifetime. They are signs of lessons learned. Forgiveness is the best part of the process and the hardest. Forgiveness allows us to love again. Forgiveness accepts the flaws of another human being, realizing that we all make mistakes and God forgives us all.

How can I possibly forgive? No matter what we do, God forgives us. When we admit our mistakes and try to change, God accepts us and helps us as much and as often as we allow Him to. We, who make mistakes, should be able to accept the mistakes of others.

Do all relationships end in such pain? All relationships do not have to be broken. As you give your all to God, He gives His all to you. He will never break your trust. If both people in a relationship keep their focus on Christ, the closer they get to Christ, the closer they get to each other. No relationship is perfect, but every relationship is worth it.

Dear God,

Heal me. Heal my relationship. Help me to love like you love. Please continue to order my steps.

Amen

WHAT IF GOD COULD FEEL YOUR BROKEN HEART?

The devastation of a broken relationship can be paralyzing, however, God walks with us even then:
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

He specifically tells us to come to Him with our anxieties:
Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

While others may have lost interest in our tur- moil, God will not despise our pain:
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. Psalm 51:17

God will fix it. Trust Him:

Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is any- thing too hard for me? Jeremiah 32:27

BE BLESSED!!
