The word born again is not a new word or terminology of the twenty-first century. More than two thousand years ago, Jesus used the same words in his discussion with one of the religious intellectuals of his day. Jesus said to Nicodemus, “Verily, verily I say to you except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3). Through the discussion of Jesus with Nicodemus, we find out the imperative and possibility of being born again as a condition for having the hope of eternal life with God. Since then, and most especially after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, people all over the world and in every generation have experienced spiritual transformation and the power of God as they turn their lives over to Jesus Christ.

You can experience the New Life today

Dear reader, you can experience the same power of transformation today. However, the question you need to sincerely answer is, “Are you born again?” Have you been washed by the blood of the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world? Is your name written in the book of life?

“And whoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire” (Revelation 20:15). Have you experienced the power that can transform one from the kingdom of darkness, sin, and Satan to the kingdom of light—which is in Christ Jesus? You can pledge allegiance to the flag of your country, your marital relationship, your job, and even your family, but if you have not pledged allegiance to the Lamb of God who takes the sins of the world away, you have no hope of eternal life. Your faith in Christ Jesus’ death and resurrection is the life insurance policy you need for eternal life. You can be born again today if you will place your faith in Christ Jesus and the salvation He secured for you on the cross of Calvary.

Do you want Jesus in your heart today? You can come as you are no matter your age, color and race, social standing or intellectual background. You can invite Jesus into your heart to make you the new person He wants you to be right now. You can begin a new life in Christ that no person on earth can offer you right now. Psychologists, professional counselors, and physiotherapists cannot provide you the kind of new life Jesus will give you.

The giver of New Life is Jesus

New life is not what you receive in any traditional religions or Eastern religion. Only God, who created you, can give you the new life to fulfill His desired destiny for you when you trust Him as your Lord and personal Savior. What you do with Jesus Christ determines your destiny now and in eternity. The most excellent and greatest Good News you can ever hear as a mortal man in your lifetime on earth is that God has provided a means for you to be born again. This gives us the opportunity to be reconciled back to God. John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Do you sense a need you cannot explain and describe in your life? Have you been looking for a way to fill a void in your heart and find a purpose for living? You may be wealthy or intelligent, but you notice that there is a struggle in your heart which has resulted in the absence of peace and joy in your life. You may think and even try to manage your spiritual emptiness without God. You may also be able to manage your wealth, intellect and life without God.

I need to assure you that Jesus is the only one who can truly and perfectly fill up your spiritual void and emptiness. Jesus is like no one else, if you will let Him rule and take control of your life. To allow Him to live in your life is the only hope of glory as you release all to Him (Colossians 1:27).

The good news I have for you today is that Jesus is the answer to your problem. You can be born again—even right now. This is possible only by the grace of God, through faith in Christ Jesus. Jesus is the truth, the way and the life through which you can come to God. If you will put your trust in Jesus Christ today by faith, no matter what you are going through or will go through, Jesus has promised to be with you to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). First, confess your sin to God. Second, ask Jesus to come into your heart and reign as Lord and Savior today.
