Jesus is Coming Soon
The events we see in the news daily remind us that the greatest event of all time is soon to occur. Jesus is coming soon! At any moment the rapture could take place—when Jesus will take his church to heaven, and those left behind will experience the wrath of God like never seen before.
Many have heard that Jesus will return but feel there is no urgency to prepare.
We learn about the event known as the “rapture” in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, which says, “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
What Will Happen After the Rapture?
If you do not believe in Jesus Christ, you will be left behind to face God’s judgment, as described in the book of Revelation. But the big question is, will you be ready?
To meet God, you need a spiritual rebirth. Jesus said, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3).
Have you been born again?
The reason for our need to be born again is that we are all born sinners (Romans 5:12).
Although God hates sin, He loves sinners. Because of that love, He has made a way to restore our fellowship with Him. “God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
Jesus took the punishment for our sins on the cross. Believe in Him for cleansing and forgiveness. Refuse to believe and face eternal separation from the Lord in Hell.
Have you experienced this change or new birth? Have you turned to God in repentance, admitting that you are a sinner in need of salvation? Have you given up the false idea that you can earn God’s favor through your own “good” works? Have you by faith accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord? Accepting or rejecting Him is the ultimate test.
Are you ready? Your answer will determine your fate.
Remember, if you’re unprepared, you risk spending eternity in Hell. Take steps now to secure your eternal destiny. Don’t wait until it’s too late!
Now is the time to recognize your need for Him and put your trust in Jesus who died for your sins and rose again.
“Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth” (Proverbs 27:1).
“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2).
“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him” (John 3:36).
Please do not MISS your last chance! Jesus is coming soon!
For those of us who are saved, Titus 2:11-14 says that we can look forward to the blessed hope of the rapture of the church. As we wait, let us continue to deny ungodliness and worldly lust, live soberly, righteously, and godly.
