The Clinic

“May I help you?”

“Pssst...pssst...pssst…”

“Abortions? Sure, we do abortions!”

“Shhhh!”

“Please, I don’t want anyone to know I’m doing this.”

“Oh, sure, sure…”

“I just want to get this thing taken care of as quickly and quietly as possible.”

“Oh, sure, honey.”

“If my family or friends ever found out, I’d just die!”

“Oh, yeah, sure!”

“Well, you’ve come to the right place honey - we’ve even got a special this week!”

“A special?”

“Sure! We have a super-saver discount on D&E’s!”

“D&E’s?”

“Yep! That’s when we go in ’ya with a hook shaped knife and chop the little critter up and then scrape out the broken pieces.”

“Gasp!”

“Or we can stick a vacuum inside you and suck the kid out limb by limb.”

“I’m gonna throw up.”

“Then we fill these buckets with the fetal tissue and sell them for research.”

“B-b-but, those are babies!”

“Turns a nice, tidy profit.”

“I’m sorry, but I’m just not up for this now.”

“Come on back later and we’ll inject you with saline. Then you can feel him squirm inside you while he burns to death.”

“Gag!”

“Or we can induce premature labor and hope he comes out dead.”

“I’m out of here!”

“Oh, what am I going to do?”

“Turn to Jesus! He loves you!”

“Huh?”

“I wish someone had told me about Jesus before I had an abortion several years ago. I’m still suffering side effects.”

“Side effects? What side effects?”

“Besides the automatic guilt and depression, you can suffer excessive bleeding, diseases, ruptures, infection, hysterectomies, messed up periods, sterility, birth defects, breast cancer, and even death.”

“Wow! I had no idea!”

“Yes, If I had it to do over again, I’d gladly lay my rights down so that my baby could live.”

“The memory that I murdered my baby is agonizing!”

“But Jesus has forgiven me and that is why I am here today!”

“But there’s no way I’d have the strength to handle this pregnancy by myself.”

“Oh god, I need some help!”

“You’re right!”

“Right?”

“Yes, God wants to help you, after all, he’s the one who made your baby in the first place.”

“For you [God] created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother’s womb...my frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place..Your eyes saw my unformed body.” (Psalm 139:14-16)

“But how can I face God? I’ve let Him down so many times!”

“That’s true- you have let Him down- but so have all of us. It’s our turning away from God and living life our own way that saddens Him. It’s called sin. But you are no worse than anyone else.”

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

“So if I sinned, why would God want to help me? Isn’t He angry?”

“That’s the wonderful part about God. The punishment you deserve for your sin?... God took it on himself when He became human (in the person of Jesus) and died on the cross for you and rose again (read 1 Corinthians 15:3,4).

That loving act on His part took all the punishment for all your sin and satisfied it- forever!”

“God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

“You mean there really is hope for me?”

“Yes, just believe that Jesus died to pay for your sins, and accept His offer of forgiveness and eternal life. The bible says, ‘whoever believes in the Son [Jesus] has eternal life (John 3:16).’”

“I have set before you life and death… Now choose life, so that you and your children may live…” (Deuteronomy 30:19)

“Lord Jesus, thank you for dying in my place and forgiving my sins. I trust in You to save me for all eternity. Amen.”
