Sin—The only disease with a guaranteed cure!
“What if you went to a doctor and took along your best friend with you and the doctor discovered that you had cancer, but he didn’t tell you about the cure, you would be quite upset, right?”
But wouldn’t it be even more upsetting if he told your best friend that you had cancer and he knew of a cure? The doctor informed your friend what the cure was. How upset would you be with this so-called friend if he didn’t share the cure with you? Wouldn’t you expect that person to tell you what the cure is?”
Your answer would definitely be yes … right? Then it is my duty to inform you that you have a disease that is worse than cancer. It has eternal consequences. It is called S.I.N. positive.
The good news is that there is a cure for this disease, but without this cure, there is no hope. The cure is Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
Jesus Christ is the only cure for sin. The only way you can receive this cure is through the blood of Jesus Christ which He shed on the cross. God cannot and will not receive sinful man into His kingdom, so sin has to be dealt with. This is a free gift that God has provided for us and it is called “GRACE”.
You cannot earn this gift in any way, shape, or form. All you have to do is confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, putting your trust in what He has done to wash away your sin. God will then put His Holy Spirit into your heart and you will be saved!
We are all sinners and have fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). The Bible says that if we are guilty of breaking one sin, we have broken them all. So, first, admit you have sinned and are in need of a Savior.
Second, believe on Jesus Christ as your Savior. Put your faith and trust in Him and Him alone. If you are completely true and honest with your confession, God will put His Holy Spirit into your heart, and there will be a change in your life. As a Christian, you will learn to die to yourself every day, pick up your cross, and trust in the Lord to guide you in all aspects of your life.
Keep your eyes on the Lord and focus on the One who loves you and you will feel a sense of comfort knowing that the God who created all things is the God that promised to never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
Keep one thing in mind … this doesn’t mean you will not have trials in your life, it just means that God will be there with you through these trials. It is the purifying process that all born-again Christians go through.
So give your life to God today if you haven’t already done so. I can promise you with God as my witness, that you won’t be sorry. Eternity is a breath away, don’t assume you have lots of time … do it today!
