There isn’t anything quite like the sense of freedom you get when thundering down an open highway on a two wheeler with your knees in the breeze! Most of my biker friends will tell you that freedom is one of the main reasons they ride. Friend, what about when the ride is over? What about when the ride of life is over? Are you still and will you be free? You can be!
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed” (John 8:36).
Real freedom can only come from God. Whether you can ride or not you can have the freedom that comes from having a personal relationship with God. There is one problem. Man’s relationship with God has been broken.
We have all sinned against God and we can’t be good enough to fix it and get to Heaven on our own.
“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one” (Romans 3:10).
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
The result of our sin: we all will die physically someday. If we die without Jesus Christ, we will die the second death and spend eternity in Hell apart from God.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
“And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death” (Revelation 20:14).
There is hope! We can have real freedom from the bondage of sin and the second death.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
My Biker friend, a right relationship with God and a home in heaven can be yours by asking Jesus Christ to forgive you of your sin and become your Lord and Savior right now.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9).
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).
Biker friend, won’t you tell Jesus you are sorry for sinning against Him and ask him to forgive you and be your Lord and Savior today?
If you have just trusted Jesus to become your Lord and Savior, here are some excellent things to do in order to grow in your relationship with God: read your Bible and pray every day, find a good Bible believing church, get baptized, fellowship with other believers and tell others how you found real freedom.
