… and He wants you to know how much He loves you!
He loves you so much that he sent His son, Jesus, to die on your behalf.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
If you know Jesus, then be reminded of His undying love for you. Remember that just knowing Him is not all that He seeks, He desires closeness with you. Lay yourself aside daily, take up your cross and follow Him. And remember to tell others of the One that has paid the ultimate price for them!
If you don’t know Him, see this as a call out to you from the Creator of the Universe. He loves you immensely, more than you could ever imagine. He watches you daily and longs for a relationship with you through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Picture your life as a puzzle comprising all the pieces that make you who you are. In the very center of that puzzle is a “Jesus-shaped” hole. You can try to fill it with other pieces, but it will never work—it wasn’t designed to. You were not designed to function properly without Him. You can try to fill your life with other things: money, love, drugs, alcohol, friends, family, but none of these will ever fill that void. That emptiness that you feel from time to time is a deep-rooted need for Him.
You will never experience completeness or true joy until you surrender your life to Jesus. He is the Restorer and Healer of all things, He is that joy and the peace you have been searching for. Through Him alone is everything you could ever need. No matter what mess you find yourself in, He is waiting to bring you out. He accepts you right where you are … just as you are.
The Bible tells us that all have done wrong (sinned). Each one of us—whether it’s telling a little white lie or something much bigger—we are all guilty and deserve to be judged accordingly. By rejecting what Jesus did, we are all sentenced to hell—not by God’s choice, but by our own. None of this was a part of His original plan; He created mankind to commune with Him, He longed to spend time with him, He loved him. But by man’s own rejection of God’s instruction, he set the stage for his own eternity.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
BUT … God sent Jesus as the ultimate, sinless sacrifice, so that we may LIVE! What an amazing gift and what an unbelievable way to show His love for us.
“For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)
Acknowledge that you are a sinner in need of a Savior.
Believe that Jesus died, was raised from the dead, and is alive today.
Confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
“Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.” (Romans 10:9-10)
This gift is for anyone that will receive it.
“For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
Now is the time to place your life into the hands of the One that loves you the most, that created every facet of your being, and earnestly desires a relationship with you through Jesus Christ. You can express your decision and trust in Jesus through a prayer like this:
Dear Lord Jesus, I believe in You, I believe that You died for me, rose again, and You are alive today. I know that I am a sinner and I need You, please forgive me for my sins, I invite You, Jesus, to be the Lord of my life. I now turn from my old ways and embrace my new life.
Please fill me with your Spirit and help me to understand His power and intended function in my life. I will allow Him to empower me to obey You, lead me into my unique purpose and equip me with the boldness needed to carry it out. In Jesus’ name I pray Amen.
Now go and tell others of the change that has taken place within you. Tell them of the only One that can fill the void that resides within them. Seek Him every day, and through the power of the Holy Spirit, you can find revelation and renewed strength daily. You can be empowered to accomplish the goals He has placed you on this earth to achieve. You can experience true love, joy and peace. Remember, Jesus didn’t just come to save you, He came to give you the best life possible.
“My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” (John 10:10b NLT)
