Hi. It’s wonderful having this leaflet in your hand today. Read on with patience and you would be glad you did.
Are you ready? Yes, are you ready for all that life brings your way? Life on Earth often presents man and woman, boy and girl, rich and poor with events and situations that determine their next destination, position and state of mind. To understand this better, let’s look at these words found in the Bible:
“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house; and it fell. And great was its fall” (Matthew 7:24-27).
This reveals an important truth about life. Life will offer you certain situations and circumstances that sometimes are pleasant, lovely or charming. Yet, at other times, you are faced with events that nearly bury your head in the mud: be it loss of a job, unpleasant marital relationship, divorce, failures in endeavor, sicknesses, unpleasant dreams, addiction to cigarettes, drugs or alcohol and so on. Your story will end like one of the two men you’ve read about: the wise and the fool. If I may ask, which of them currently describes you? If you want to be like the wise, you must get ready.
Champions in life are those that prepare. Failures and victims are those that put up indifference and do not care about what is coming their way. Even worse, some deny this truth and live as if it does not exist. However, your result in life will be determined by your responses to the words of the Lord Jesus Christ, whom God sent to save the world from sin, Satan and eternal destruction.
Your salvation begins with hearing His word and putting your faith/trust in Him. Hear what the Bible says about Him.
“For He [God] made Him [Jesus] who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21). “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
Dear reader, Jesus Christ is willing to aid you and be by your side all the days of your life, even through the difficult times. Consider this:
“On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them [His disciples], ‘Let us cross over to the other side.’ Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. But He was in the stern asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, ‘Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?’ Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, ‘Peace, be still!’ And the wind ceased and there was a great calm” (Mark 4:35-39).
Jesus Christ is the Prince of peace and Lord of lords that wants to satisfy you with His unending peace, whatever might have been your experience in the past.
Are you willing to invite the Prince of peace into your life? You can do so now. Jesus Christ says:
“Behold, I stand at the door [of your heart] and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:20).
You can bow your head and pray like this:
“Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I thank You for seeking and finding me. Thank you for paying the price for my sins. Thank you for dying on the cross so I could be redeemed from sin, Satan and hell. Today, I receive you as my Lord and personal Savior. Write my name in the Book of Life and be my Guide evermore. Thanks for hearing and accepting me. Amen”
