I pray to the God who created the universe and all that it contains.
You know all things. You know I have not loved my neighbors with the same care and concern I have for myself. Do I need your forgiveness for this? Do I need my heart and mind transformed through your mercy, kindness and power? Do I need these things so that I can live forever in your presence in heaven, in joy and peace and eternal contentment? Will I be denied heaven without your forgiveness and transformation?
It is said by some that there is one God and one mediator between God and humanity, Jesus the Messiah—the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.
As it is written, “Messiah died to take away our sins as the Scriptures predicted. He was placed in a tomb. He was brought back to life on the third day as the Scriptures predicted.”
“He was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was scourged so we could be healed. All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all.”
God, do I need to believe Jesus, for the forgiveness of my sins and the transformation of my soul?
It is written that Jesus said, “My Father, who you say is your God, is the one who glorifies me.” “Only the Father knows the Son, and the Father is known only by the Son and by those to whom the Son reveals him.” “When the Counselor comes, the One I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father—He will testify about Me.”
“I say emphatically that anyone who listens to my words and believes in God who sent me has eternal life, and will never be damned for his sins, but has already passed out of death into life.”
“The one who comes to me I will never cast out.” “All who ask receive.”
God, will you help my unbelief? Will you help me ask Jesus for forgiveness and transformation?
