Abraham Lincoln was not only a great president, he was a person with struggles and questions and doubts—just like you and me. At the end of his life, after a great spiritual journey, he proclaimed: “When I left Springfield I asked the people to pray for me. I was not a Christian. When I buried my son, the severest trial of my life, I was not a Christian. But when I went to Gettysburg and saw the graves of thousands of our soldiers, I then and there consecrated myself to Christ. Yes, I do love Jesus.”

Do you love Jesus? He loved you enough to die for your sins. Will you turn to God in repentance and trust Jesus Christ as your Savior today?

“God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
