Everyone who is mentally competent and reaches an age of accountability before God, gets to choose in this lifetime whether or not they want to live in God’s Kingdom under His rules, with Him and others there in happiness forever!

Physical Death is Inescapable

We all die, eventually. It is inescapable. Death is a disease that spares no one. Yet it does not seem right, nor the way things ought to be. It is sad, depressing, and often devastating. So we hate it, fear it, resist it, and never get used to it. In fact, death was not in God’s plan for us when He originally created the human race. Death came only after man sinned and went his own independent way.¹ Sin is everything man thinks, says, or does in rebellion against God.

No matter how many good works or religious rites we do, God sees us all as sinners.² God, being perfect, holy, and just, has to separate Himself from sin by punishing sinners; the punishment after death is not being able to live with Him in Heaven, and being sent to Hell.³ Is there a way to beat death? Yes there is, thanks to Jesus Christ’s sacrificial death on the cross.

Jesus Offers Eternal Life

About 2000 years ago, a man named Jesus Christ claimed to be both man and God. He performed many miracles, predicted His death and resurrection, and made some unprecedented and astounding promises about eternal life.⁴

As a man, Jesus was tempted in all things as we are, yet remained totally innocent and without any sin.⁵ God allowed Him to be tried illegally and executed on a Roman Cross as the perfect substitutionary sacrifice for us so that we can be delivered from the penalty of all our sins and be saved. He then shocked the world by miraculously coming back to life on the third day after His burial. He then appeared to His disciples and to as many as 500 people on one occasion.⁶ Forty days after His resurrection He ascended into the sky to Heaven as described by witnesses.⁷

So what does that mean to you? The good news is, even though you may feel like just an insignificant speck on the map of the universe, an all-powerful, all-knowing, eternal, perfectly righteous, just, loving God created you for a purpose. He loves you so much that He wants to have a personal relationship with you. He values and treats every individual as if they’re the most important person in the universe.⁸ In order to have true meaning and purpose in life, one needs to get to know Him by having a personal relationship with Him. Only then will they find their true calling in life to live life to the fullest.⁹ Since we have all sinned, and have separated ourselves from God, His justice demands punishment. To be spared, we need a perfect, sinless Savior to take the punishment for our sins, giving us His perfect righteousness.¹⁰ 

This is the only way that we can have a relationship with Him. When our sins are forgiven, we experience inner peace and joy right now, and one day we’ll live in happiness forever in His Kingdom with no sickness, death, or sadness.¹¹

John 3:16 Explains How We Can Have a Relationship With Him:

“For God [supreme, all-powerful, all-knowing, eternal, perfectly righteous, just, loving, creator of everything] so loved [wanting what is best for us based on His character, not ours] the world [all people], that He gave [sacrificed] His only begotten Son [Jesus Christ, being fully man and fully God, as our Savior King], that whosoever [anyone] believeth in Him [trusts by faith alone in Him alone] should not perish [being in Hell in misery, separated from God for eternity after death], but have [to receive now] everlasting life [abundant life, both now and guaranteed forever in Heaven]” (John 3:16).

Jesus took upon Himself the punishment for all our sins—past, present, and future. He then came back to life, demonstrating His power over sin and death. Jesus satisfied God’s justice by taking upon Himself the wrath of God the Father, the punishment we deserved for our sins. This made it possible for God to forgive us and accept us into His presence. To be cleansed from the penalty of all our sins, and be declared totally righteous, God requires that we believe (trust) in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.¹²

Once you become a child of God, nothing can ever change that.¹³ Even though you will still sin at times,¹⁴ God’s Spirit will be living in you to guide you and help make you the type of person He wants you to be.¹⁵ True faith will always result in good (divine) works honoring God, unless short-circuited by sin.¹⁶

Salvation is a one-time event that happens when you put your trust in Jesus Christ and is not obtained or kept by adding good works and/or religious rites, or anything else ongoing over time.¹⁷ Once saved, your salvation is guaranteed no matter what, and can never be lost.¹⁸ Jesus Christ in this way gets all the credit, honor, and glory He rightfully deserves, not us in any way, shape, or fashion.¹⁹

In order that you can know Him better and be the person He wants you to be, I encourage you to continue in prayer, read the Bible, find a good Bible-teaching church, and share your faith.
