God Can Get You Through Anything

Hello Friend,

Though these days are challenging, we can always call on Jesus for help. We were never intended to go through this life without him, and he can get us through absolutely anything. God through Jesus Christ has our life’s plan, meaning, purpose and destiny, and when we receive him as Lord and Savior, the journey to a fulfilled life begins with a heart-to-heart intimate relationship with him. There are promises in Scripture for anything that we can possibly face. By faith, we can lay hold of and rest in these promises.

In the Old Testament God did a lot of supernatural things to supersede this natural world and provide for his children, sustain them, heal them and protect them. He was everything they needed whenever they needed it. We are now offered a covenant of better promises through Jesus Christ by his grace through faith in him.

During the 40 years of the Israelites wandering in the wilderness, God rained down food (manna) from Heaven for them to eat, streamed water out of a rock for drink, and their clothes didn’t wear out for 40 years. Also, there are numerous promises for eternal life, healing, protection and provision. He’ll do whatever it takes to sustain you in whatever you need. Here I have listed a few of his promises, but there are many verses which promise these things over and over again. Don’t just gloss over these; study them to etch them in your heart, and let them produce faith to walk in them.

ETERNAL LIFE

John 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

FORGIVENESS, HEALING, REDEMPTION AND RENEWAL

Psalm 103:2-6 (NIV) Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits— who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.

PROTECTION

Psalm 91 (NIV) Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

PROVISION

Philippians 4:19 (KJV) But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

HEART TRANSFORMATION

Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

INNER STRENGTH

Ephesians 3:16 (ESV) That according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being.

PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

DESTINY

Ephesians 1:4-6 (NKJV) Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
