It’s exciting to be on earth at this very moment when the prophecies that will herald the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ are being fulfilled in our very eyes. And it’s also amazing that most people—even Christians—don’t seem to pay attention to these events. When His disciples asked, “what shall be the sign of Thy coming,” Jesus replied: “Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in My name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places … And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:3-7, 11-14).
Friend, you have a great opportunity to make the greatest decision of your life. Yes, I mean the GREATEST DECISION, which every human being needs to make. It’s unfortunate, that the overwhelming majority of people have not realized how important this decision is. We live in a world infested with all kinds of thought patterns, philosophies, beliefs and religious worship. Listen to what the Word of the Lord says about Jesus Christ: “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
It is clear from God’s Word that all men need deliverance from eternal death, sin, and the devil. “All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23). According to the Word of God which lives and abides forever, the one and only able Savior is JESUS CHRIST. The gift of God to all humanity is eternal life which is only given through JESUS CHRIST our Lord.
Because of God’s love for humanity, He gave “His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). God created the first man, Adam, and the first woman, Eve. He put them in the garden of Eden. They were created to live forever, with no death, poverty, no sickness nor disease. Man was in fellowship with God. But when they sinned against God by eating the forbidden fruit, they were disconnected from God (which is spiritual death), and began to die physically as well.
But God, because of His love, gave His only begotten Son as the ransom for all humanity. He has provided us ALL with the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Friend, you can only be saved from the coming judgment by believing in Jesus Christ and accepting Him as your savior. Hear what Jesus said: “He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:18). You have eternal life by trusting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him” (John 3:36).
This same Jesus told His disciples that He was going to prepare a place for them and that He would come again and take them to be with Him (John 14:3). Jesus will only come for those who have accepted Him as Lord and Savior: those who have identified with Him in this world, those who are not ashamed to be called Christians, those who have devoted their lives to serving and pleasing Him. You still have the opportunity to surrender your life to Jesus Christ: the Bible says “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27).
All the signs that would precede His coming are already happening around us every day. It’s time to make a quality decision to follow Jesus. Accept Him into your heart. To get saved, please consider this verse of the Bible and apply it to yourself: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9,10). Turn to God today, trusting Jesus Christ as your Savior. You could express your faith with sincerity of heart in a simple prayer such as this:
“Lord Jesus, I confess you with my mouth, I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. I now surrender my life unto You.Save me from my sin and help me to live my life for you. Thank you for saving me.”
I GREATLY rejoice with you if you have put your trust in Jesus Christ. We encourage you to join a Bible-believing Church.
