10 out of 10 people die. The Bible says that you have an appointment with death, after which you will live forever in one of two places—heaven or hell. Jesus said the requirement for heaven is perfection and that most people will go to hell (Hebrews 9:27; Matthew 7:13-14). If you have ever broken God’s Law (told a lie, stolen or cheated, looked with lust, used God’s name as a curse word, put anything before God, etc.)—even once—you will be guilty on Judgment Day. The Bible says the punishment for your sin is to go to God’s prison, a literal place called hell (Acts 17:30-31; 1 John 3:4; Romans 3:19-20, 6:23, 7:7; James 2:10; Revelation 20:15).
However, there is good news! God sent His Son, Jesus Christ (God in human flesh), to die for us on the cross and to rise again the third day defeating sin and death. On the cross, a legal transaction took place. You broke God’s law, but Jesus paid your fine! (Romans 3:24-26; 2 Corinthians 5:21).
The Bible makes it very clear what you must do to be saved from hell and to gain eternal life with God in heaven:
Repent (to believe by turning to the living God from your sinful way) (Acts 17:30, 26:20; Luke 13:3,5).
By faith, trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and call upon Him to save you (John 1:12; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-9).
Many people “believe” in Jesus—even devils believe (James 2:19). However, the Bible says that God now commands all men everywhere (including you) to repent and trust in Christ alone. You cannot guarantee that you will wake up tomorrow.Every second, 2 people die.
Are you ready for Judgment Day?
