Have you ever heard of the “passion” of the Christ?
What was His passion? His passion was to love YOU and to set you free. “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” (John 15:13).
YOU are His passion. His love for you put Him on the cross to pay for your sins. “God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
People will come and go in your life. But once Jesus comes into your life as your Savior and Lord, He has promised to never leave you. “God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you’” (Hebrews 13:5).
You must make the choice. God created you to love Him and to be with Him for ever. But our sin separates us from God. Jesus paid God’s penalty for our sin when He died on the cross. But each of us must choose to either reject Jesus or to accept Him as our Savior. “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in” (Revelation 3:20).
Accept God’s gift of salvation. Jesus loves you enough to die for you. Will you put your faith and trust in Him today? “We love Him because He first loved us” (1 John 4:19).
Turn to Jesus today. If you are ready to turn from your way to God’s way, you could pray something like this: “Dear Jesus, I need to know you—I need your love. Please forgive me for my sins and cover me with your blood. I accept what you did on the cross for me. Come into my life and lead me, teach me, and show me who You are. I give myself to you. Help me with my life. Amen.”
What now? Find a Bible and read His words. Talk to Him in prayer: He is always listening. Find a good church that will support your journey with God. It is a real and living relationship.
You DO have someone that loves you
with all He is. Today is your day.
