THE PROBLEM

The Bible is clear: Romans 3:23 reads:

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Romans 3:10b reads:

“There is none righteous, no, not one.”

Hebrews 9:27 reads:

“And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment…”

You cannot be good enough or do enough good deeds to earn your way to Heaven. Due to our sin, we are not fit to enter Heaven. BUT … there is good news!

THE ANSWER

God has provided a Savior for us – His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.

Jesus, both fully God and fully man, came willingly to earth to die on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. Many prophecies hundreds of years before His actual coming gave clues and compelling evidence of the identity of the coming Messiah. Jesus fulfilled every prophecy.

2 Corinthians 5:21 reads:

“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

1 Corinthians 15:3-4 reads:

“For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.”

Ephesians 2:8-9 reads:

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”

You have not been so bad that Heaven is closed to you.

Before his conversion to Christianity, the Apostle Paul persecuted early followers of Jesus, but he was the recipient of God’s mercy.

Paul, writing about Himself, wrote in 1 Timothy 1:15:

“This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.”

YOUR DECISION

If you will receive Him, the Lord Jesus Christ has paid the penalty of your sins and will give you a better life not only now but for all eternity.

If you desire, you may pray in a similar manner as follows:

Dear God,

I admit I have sinned and that I need a Savior. Thank You for sending Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, into the world to be our Savior. I believe Jesus died for my sins, was buried, and rose again the third day.

I am sorry for all the wrong I have done and ask You to please forgive me and to save me. Please help me turn from my sins and toward You. I place my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior and confess Jesus is the Son of God. Please help me to follow You.

Thank You. Amen.
