We have been sent out to search for someone named “Whosoever Will.”
He has broken the laws of God and God has sent us to offer him the best deal of his life. If he will turn himself in (repent of his wicked ways and sinful lifestyle), God is willing to forgive him and bring him into God’s family. All he has to do is to turn to Jesus by faith and call out to Him for forgiveness and salvation.
His full name and the details of his sin are not as important as his willingness to turn from them. He doesn’t even have to clean himself up first, for God knows he is not able to do so.
You see it really doesn’t matter who he is, what he has done or where he has been. The things that really matter are…
Who Jesus is.
Jesus was God in the flesh.
“But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name” (John 20:31).
“Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him” (1 John 5:1).
“He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 16:15-17).
Where did Jesus go?
Jesus went to the cross at Calvary!
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved” (John 3:16-17).
What did Jesus do?
Jesus Died for our sin!
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).
Who did Jesus die for?
All people!
“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).
“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men” (Titus 2:11).
“Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:4).
Who is Jesus willing to save?
Whosoever Will!
“I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness” (John 12:46).
“And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Acts 2:21).
“To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins” (Acts 10:43).
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).
“And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely” (Revelation 22:17).
The question for today is this:
If you are not the whosoever that has, then will you be the whosoever that will?
Call out to Him today. Although God’s offer of forgiveness is extended to everyone, tomorrow is not promised to anyone. Jesus will save and forgive whosoever of whatsoever sin they may have committed.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9).
