Every human being’s middle name is Struggle. The way a person handles struggle can mean success or failure. There are thousands upon thousands of different types of struggles. There is war, famine, disease, loss of a loved one, etc.
The path to freedom from struggle is to become a winner, an overcomer; to have a knowledge of God and His Son, Jesus, suffering on a cross in order for us to be rescued from sin and self so we might spend eternity with God.
Did you know the Bible is our “life-line” to being overcomers in struggles? Here are some “life savers” that will work for you to overcome in your life of everyday struggles:
Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God (Ephesians 5:2).
I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. I will sing to the Lord because he is good to me (Psalm 13:5-6).
He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins (Ephesians 1:7).
The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart (Psalm 28:7).
I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him (Psalm 62:1).
In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me (Jeremiah 29:12-13).
Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need, and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one (Matthew 6:9-13)
