Are you reaching for Peace? Need peace in your mind? Then you are at the right place at the right time. My friend, if you ever wondered if having peace in the midst of calamity is possible—then you have arrived at the right place.
My friend, we can only give what we have. In Philippians 4:6-7 the Bible says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Do you know what that means? It means that no matter how great or small your situation is, God can still give you peace so that your mind and heart are not filled with anxiety. My friend, if you don’t have peace, why not get it from someone who does? Do you need peace today? Then there is someone that can help you. His name is Jesus Christ and he is waiting to give you that peace today.
Jesus died on the cross for all of your sins even before you were born. The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
Our Purpose
God loves you and created you for a purpose: to know him and have a personal relationship with him, including peace and a fulfilling life. (John 3:16; John 10:10; Jeremiah 29:11)
Our Problem
Most people are not experiencing that ultimate life because everyone has chosen to go his or her own way and have fallen short of God’s perfect standard. That “sin” separates us from God and prevents us from having a relationship with Him. (Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:2)
Our Penalty
Our sin is so radically opposed to God’s perfect character that it requires the most extreme penalty—death and eternal separation from God. (Romans 6:23; Romans 5:12; Hebrews 9:22)
Our Provision
Since we cannot earn or make our way to God through our own imperfect efforts, he chose to lovingly provide the perfect payment for sin by sending his only son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place, bridging the gap between God and man. (Romans 5:8; 1 Peter 3:18; 1 Timothy 2:5; John 14:6)
Our Personal Response
You must personally respond to Jesus’ sacrifice by turning from your old, sinful life and by trusting him to freely give you a new life through his resurrection from the dead. (Romans 10:9; 1 John 1:9; John 3:36; Ephesians 2:8,9)
The Proof: You can know
When you give Jesus control of your life, he gives you a fresh start and new beginning, as well as a lifelong and eternal relationship with God. (2 Corinthians 5:17; Romans 8:1; 1 John 5:13)
The Practice: You can grow
As you get to know Jesus through prayer, God’s word, and faithful obedient living in the power of the Holy Spirit, you mature spiritually, becoming what God created you to be. (Colossians 2:6-8; John 14:15-17; 1 John 5:19)
The Place: You can go
Jesus has prepared a place in heaven for all who love him, so that when they pass from this life, they will be with him forever. (John 14:1-4; Matthew 25:21)
Receive that peace right now!
Admit and Ask.
Believe and Become.
Commit and Confess.
Lord Jesus, I’ve gone my own way and sinned against You. Have mercy on me and forgive my sin. I believe You are the Son of God who died in my place, then rose from the dead with the power and authority to give me new life. Thank you for making me a child of God. I now surrender my life to you and your purposes. Give me, by your Holy Spirit, the boldness to confess my faith in you to others. I ask this in your name, Jesus, amen.
Have you confessed your sin to God and put your trust in Jesus? Congratulations! Welcome to the family of God. The angels in heaven are rejoicing right now because of you. We personally welcome you into our family and we are rejoicing with you as well. Welcome!
