Growing up, there was a time in my life when I had a lot of questions about what would happen to me if I died. I had always heard that there was a place called Heaven and a placed called Hell. I assumed that Hell was the place where all the bad people went and Heaven was the place where all the good people went. I would ask questions to those I thought would know the answers, but much of the time I was left without any answers. My life had absolutely no peace. It consumed my thoughts and it worried me all the time.

When I was 13 years old I was at my Grandad’s house, and he asked me a very strange question. He asked if I have ever been “saved”. I heard about that from going to church but did not know what it meant. My Grandad took his Bible out, and he began to share Bible verses with me. He taught me that being saved was about placing my faith and trust in Jesus Christ as my Savior. He showed me in the Bible that all I had to do was call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and I would be saved (Romans 10:13). Sitting in my Grandad’s kitchen, I asked Jesus Christ to save me. I will be honest, I am not sure exactly what I said, but I do remember having a sense of peace and security that I never had before.

The following years, I was in and out of church and struggled in many areas of my life. I had a peace of knowing Jesus had saved me, but something was missing. I was not living the way the Bible said saved people are supposed to live. For six years I struggled with all kinds of things. With some help from a local pastor, I began to learn how God wanted me to live, and at the age of 19 I committed my life fully to Jesus Christ, and things have never been the same since.

My life now has purpose and meaning. There is nothing greater than experiencing forgiveness and peace through Jesus Christ. Over the years, I have experienced ups and downs, good times and bad, but having a relationship with Jesus Christ has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. He loves me, and He loves you. He died for all of our sin, failures and shortcomings so that we could have a relationship with Him. My life is one of joy, and the Lord has blessed me tremendously since I have trusted Him as my Savior.

The question I have for you is, have you ever experienced such a relationship with Jesus Christ? If not, then it is possible to do at this moment. Simply call upon the name of the Lord, and you will be saved. I would love to tell you more about my story, so please feel free to contact me.
