Because I am Deaf, I cannot easily tell you this face to face. This written message is my way of speaking with you.

You may never see me again, but before we part, I want to share the most important message I know. It isn’t about me being Deaf. It’s about something that concerns every one of us.

Although we are different in one way—you can hear, and I cannot—we have something far more important in common.

One day, we will both stand before God.

The Bible says, “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” (Hebrews 9:27)

The Bible also says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

That includes every one of us. Whether Deaf or hearing, young or old, rich or poor, we have all sinned against a holy God. No amount of good works, religion, or personal effort can remove our sin or make us acceptable before Him.

But God loves us.

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, came into the world to save sinners. He willingly gave His life on the cross, was buried, and rose again the third day. He paid the penalty that our sins deserved so that we could be forgiven and receive eternal life.

The Bible calls this the gospel: “...Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

Salvation is God’s free gift.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8–9)

The Lord Jesus said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” (John 6:47)

God invites you to place your trust in Jesus Christ alone as your Saviour. He alone can forgive your sins and give you everlasting life.

I don’t know your name, and I may never have the opportunity to speak with you again. That’s why I wanted to give you this tract. My sincere hope is that one day we will meet again—not just in this life, but in Heaven.

If you have never trusted Jesus Christ as your Saviour, I encourage you to read the Bible and consider what God says about your eternity.

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.” (Acts 16:31)

If you have trusted Christ, seek out a Bible-believing church where God’s Word is faithfully preached. Grow in your knowledge of the Lord through His Word, prayer, and fellowship with other believers.
