Here’s what the Bible says:
1. Admit you are a sinner:
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” – Romans 3:23
2. There is punishment for sin:
“For the wages of sin is death …” – Romans 6:23a
3. God provided a way for us to be saved from the punishment of sin:
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8
4. Salvation is a FREE GIFT from God, that lasts FOREVER.
“…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” – Romans 6:23b
5. Believe that Jesus paid the price for your sins:
“And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” - 1st John 2:2
You have to understand that you are a sinner (Romans 3:23) and there is a punishment for your sins, that punishment is hell (Revelation 21:8,27)
But God loves you and provided a way for you to be saved from your sin (Romans 5:8)
God sent his Son Jesus into the world (John 3:16)
He was perfect and had no sin (2 Corinthians 5:21)
Because of this, Jesus was able to take the sins of every person who ever lived and bore them in his own body (1st Peter 2:24)
Jesus died on the cross and took our punishment for us, rose from the dead three days later, and is now in heaven (1st Corinthians 15:1-4)
Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, but that does not mean that every person is going to heaven (John 3:36)
So what must I do to be 100% sure of heaven?
“Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house” (Acts 16:30-31).
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Eternal life in Heaven is a gift purchased by the blood of Jesus and given freely to everyone who calls upon him by faith. Anyone who believes on the Lord Jesus Christ and trusts in his work alone will be saved forever.
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).
Talk with God. You can say something like this:
“Dear Jesus, I know I am a sinner and deserve to go to hell. I believe that you paid for my sins. Please save me and take me to heaven when I die. Amen.”
