Got an Itch You Can’t Scratch?

“Oooo, yeah, that’s close!”

“Oooo, baby, over now!”

“Oh boy, up a little, yeah!”

“You missed a spot.”

“What’s wrong, dear?”

“Oh, I don’t know, honey.”

“Here are your eggs.”

“There’s just got to be more to life than this.”

“You want toast, too?”

“No, seriously!”

“I feel like there is something missing in my life.”

“I’ll say!”

“Maybe I need a change. What if I bought a hot new sports car?”

“You’d  probably wrap it around a tree.”

“Well, maybe I need a new hobby.”

“Our closet’s full of your past hobbies.”

“You tried that for a whole half hour once.”

“More kids?”

“Have the ones we’ve got scratched your itch?”

“You’re sick of that place, remember?”

“Of course! Money buys happiness, right?”

“So you can be even more bored than you are now?”

“Okay! Okay! How about booze, drugs, gambling, extramarital affairs, pornography…”

“My! Those are healthy alternatives!”

“Well, what else is there to life?”

“How about…”

“Oh no! Don’t tell me…”

“I knew it! Okay, how will Jesus scratch an itch?”

“Jesus said…”

“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10)

“So why don’t I have this full life?”

“The Bible says…”

“Your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.” (Isaiah 59:2)

“Well, that doesn’t sound very fulfilling.”

“But the Good News is Jesus died for our sins and then was raised to life so you can freely enjoy a full life with Him forever.”

“My God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)

“So how can I have this full life?”

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

“Simply place your trust in Jesus to be your personal Savior and…”

“...And His love will scratch my itch!”

“Lord Jesus, I repent of my sin and place my trust in You to be my personal Savior. Thank you for filling my life with Your presence.”
