According to Paul in 1 Corinthians 15 this is the gospel…
I declare unto you the GOSPEL which I preached unto you:
- Christ died for our sins
- He was buried
- He rose again the third day
“For God SO loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
“The wages of sin is death.” Romans 6:23a
“But the gift of God is eternal life.” Romans 6:23b
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9
God has done this for you. He sent His son to die for you so that you can spend eternity with Him in Heaven. All you have to do is accept Jesus as your Savior.
Paul and Silas were asked, “What must I do to be saved?” They answered, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.” Acts 16:30,31
