We are all believing in and following someone every day.
All of us have lived for ourselves at one time or another, making our daily decisions based on what we think is best.
If you truly believe in someone, whether it’s yourself, or someone else, you follow what they say.
This is true whether it’s a fitness coach that you believe in, or a Savior that you believe in.
We all die because the sin in us kills us.
Two thousand years ago Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead to conquer sin and death for us.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
The good news is that Jesus offers the gift of eternal life to all those who believe in Him. (see John 3:16)
Are you willing to truly believe in Him?
Jesus is not truly in your heart if He isn’t at the heart of your every day life.
Is your conversation and conduct each day Christ honoring and Christ centered?
Are you praying with others, and for others?
Are you using your time and talent to serve with others, and to help those in need?
Do you have a new way of life that you are living for Jesus that looks quite different from the old way of life when you didn’t do the things listed above?
If not, are you ready to turn from living life each day your way, to living life each day His way? (this is called repentance)
He’s calling you to truly believe in Him, and follow Him.
Jesus knows you won’t live perfectly, but He does expect you to live purposefully for Him and to do it with others. (see John 15:33)
Whether you’ve followed Him in the past and gotten off track, or whether you’ve never taken that leap of faith and followed Him, start following Jesus, TODAY.
Follow Him and accept that eternal life is His free gift to you as His follower.
It was paid for by Him and cannot be earned by you.
