The Highway of Life
I was driving on the highway of life. I was unaware of this but I had broken God’s law and was going in the wrong path. I had lied, stolen, and dishonored my parents. I had an important decision to make. Would I take the right path or continue in the wrong one? The right path is when a person enters through the narrow gate which leads to heaven. The wrong path would lead a person to eternal destruction. The Bible says that wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction. (Matthew 7:13). God is holy and He can only allow perfect and sinless people into heaven. My soul was at stake. This is a decision between heaven or hell for my eternal destiny. I decided to do the best thing. I humbled myself before God and apologized for all my sins. I made a u-turn on my life path. I turned from my sins and turned toward God. Jesus had paid for all my sins when He died on the cross. I placed my trust in Jesus Christ and what He had done on the cross. Jesus died, was buried, and then rose three days later. I had broken God’s law but Jesus had paid my fine. Which way will you go on the path of life? John 14:6 Jesus said,
“I am the Way, Truth, and Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
