“IT IS FINISHED”
“And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.” Romans 11:6
“I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.”
Galatians 2:21
“But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” Isaiah 64:6
“Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.” Romans 3:27
“Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” Romans 4:4, 5
“Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” Romans 3:20
Galatians 2:16, Titus 3:5, Romans 3:28, I John 5:3, Romans 8:3, Titus 2:11
Does that mean that because a person is saved, they can live as they want?
“God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” Romans 6:2
“What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.” Romans 6:15
A Christian works because they are saved! Not to be saved! There is a BIG DIFFERENCE! We are called to work!
“But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?” James 2:20
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10
