Today I would like to take a moment to share something very important with you.

Have you ever considered how you are going to pay your final bill when you pass on from this life? Have you given much thought about where you might be heading for eternity? Who or what are you trusting to get to heaven?

One thing is certain: we have an appointment with death one day, and then we will face the judgment of God. The Bible says,

“It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27).

Are you SURE you are ready to give an account of your life to God?

“And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works” (Revelation 20:12).

The Bible says we are all sinners who have broken God’s moral laws. But you might say to yourself, “I’m a good person, I do charitable deeds, I’m certainly better than most people.” Well, ask yourself these questions: Have you ever lied? Did you ever steal something? Have you used God’s name as a curse word? Have you committed adultery?

Our sin and its guilt clings to us, and unless it is dealt with, it will condemn us to an eternity separated from God. But God has made a way for us to be forgiven, to have all our sin washed away, and to have our guilt removed. Some people may choose to ignore this message and spend eternity separated from God in the lake of fire, wondering why they tried to do it on their own terms.

Here’s the good news: God loves us so much that He sent His son Jesus to earth to live a sinless life and then pay the bill for your sins and the world’s sins.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

Friend you can be saved, have the gift of eternal life, and have you final sin bill cleared. Eternal life is waiting for you if you would just believe the gospel message.

“I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

Do not put off this most urgent matter! I urge you to examine life in the light of God’s holiness and call out to Him for salvation today. Tomorrow isn’t guaranteed for you.

“Seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near” (Isaiah 55:6).

Repent (change your mind toward God), and believe that Jesus is the Son of God who died to pay the penalty of your sin when He shed His blood on the cross and rose again from the dead.

Let Jesus pay your sin debt. This may be your final notice. Trust him as your savior and Lord today. To grow in your new faith, find a good Bible-believing church to fellowship with, read your Bible and pray. The savior welcomes you with open arms.
