1. Jesus is the Sin-Bearer.
“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all” (Isaiah 53:6). The first half of this verse shows us our need of salvation. The second half shows us the provision that God has made for our salvation. Since we have gone astray and we have turned to our own way, we can say that we are lost in sin. We are all sinners. Romans 3:23 says “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Do you agree with God that you are a lost sinner? If you are willing to admit the fact that you are a lost sinner, the next thing to see is that God made a way to save us from our sins. The second part of Isaiah 53:6 says: “the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.” The Lord Jesus is our all-sufficient sin-bearing Saviour. The Bible says “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us” (Galatians 3:13). 2 Corinthians 5:21 says “For he hath made him to be sin for us,” Jesus took upon Him all of our sins. Our sins are no longer upon us, if we trust in Him as our personal Saviour.
2. Jesus is the Risen Saviour.
“Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them” (Hebrews 7:25). Not only do we receive pardon from sin, but because Jesus “ever liveth” He is able to save us “to the uttermost”. That means that He can deliver us from the power of sin. We can trust in Jesus Christ to give us victory over sin. Jude 24 adds, “Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy.” We can have freedom from sin if we truly believe on the resurrected Saviour. The Lord Jesus has all the power we need in order to see deliverance from sin. We must rely upon His power and His strength and not in our own flesh. Jesus’ resurrection is the sign that demonstrates that God is pleased with His work on the cross. Jesus said, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live” (John 11:25).
3. Jesus is Lord.
“Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ” (Acts 2:36). Are you willing to accept Him as your Divine Lord? Would you surrender to Him your life, your heart, thoughts, words, and actions? The Bible says that we must confess Him as Lord. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9). If Jesus is not Lord of all, then He is not Lord at all. “The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)” (Acts 10:36).
4. Jesus is mine.
It is not enough to know that Jesus is the Sin-Bearer, the Risen Saviour, and that He is Lord; one must also make this Jesus their own personal Sin-Bearer, their own Risen Saviour, and their own Lord. “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” (John 1:12). According to this verse those who willingly “receive him” are given the privilege of becoming the sons of God. You must receive Him as your Sin-Bearer, as your Risen Saviour, and as your Lord. Will you take Him to be whatever He offers Himself to you to be?
The Bible says “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (11) For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. (12) For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. (13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:9-13).
There are only two choices regarding the Lord Jesus, you can reject Him or receive Him. Please receive Him, today.
