grit - as in courage; the strength of mind that enables a person to endure pain or hardship.
Jesus Christ being crucified on the cross is the ultimate display of God-Given Grit (Mark 15:37-39). When we choose to believe in Jesus as our only Lord and Savior, we receive eternal life!
Here are a couple of people in the Bible who displayed “grit”:
Paul - endured many beatings, imprisonments and many dangers during his ministry (2 Corinthians 11:23-28).
David - successfully defeated Goliath, showing his grit and faith in God’s protection (1 Samuel 17).
Be the person living by God-Given Grit instead of the person living in our own strength. “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak...” (Isaiah 40:29-31).
