“For the time is near” (Revelation 22:10).
1. YOU NEED TO BE SAVED.
The Bible says that we have all sinned and as a result, we deserve death: “For the wages of sin is death...” (Romans 6:23).
The death that sin brings is not only physical, but also spiritual death—separation from the presence of God: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
If you die physically in your sinful condition, you will spend the rest of eternity separated from God, experiencing His righteous wrath in the unmitigated torment of hell: “These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power” (2 Thessalonians 1:9).
2. YOU CAN’T SAVE YOURSELF.
Divine law demands its fulfillment in the face of sin, and good works cannot remove its penalty: “Because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin” (Romans 3:20).
3. JESUS DIED AND WAS RESURRECTED TO SAVE EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM.
Fact: “Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures … He was buried, and … He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures”
(1 Corinthians 15:3-4).
God loves mankind: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
God took the initiative: “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
God punished Jesus to forgive the sinner: “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21).
Only faith in Jesus Christ justifies: “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1).
4. YOU ARE INVITED TO RECEIVE GOD’S FORGIVENESS.
God has invited everyone: “Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; For I am God, and there is no other” (Isaiah 45:22).
The call is without distinction: “For ‘Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved’” (Romans 10:13).
The invitation is personal: “That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation” (Romans 10:9-10).
The invitation is free: “Ho! Every one who thirsts, come to the waters; And you who have no money come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost” (Isaiah 55:1).
You will be satisfied: “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).
5. NOW IS THE TIME TO REPENT AND BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST.
Jesus began preaching: “and saying, ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel’” (Mark 1:15).
Don’t waste time you may not have: “For He says, ‘At the acceptable time I listened to you, And on the day of salvation I helped you.’ Behold, now is ‘the acceptable time,’ behold, now is ‘the day of salvation’” (2 Corinthians 6:2).
One day it will be too late: “Seek the Lord while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near” (Isaiah 55:6).
You have an appointment with the Judge of the universe which you cannot cancel: “And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment” (Hebrews 9:27), where you will have to give an account of your life: “So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God” (Romans 14:12).
Do not reject the only way of salvation. Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me” (John 14:6).
May God grant you repentance and faith in His Son, Jesus Christ, so that by believing in Him you may receive eternal life.
