Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. Romans 5:12

The new coronavirus is making its way around the world right now. It’s a deadly disease that has caused us all to take measures to avoid getting it. And rightly so!

However, think about this. We’re all infected right now with something far more serious than any virus you may get during your life here on earth. It’s called Sin. This virus-like pandemic will not only kill your body, but will kill your soul too!

Sin infects every person that was ever born. Everyone, regardless of social or economic status, sex, race, or political affiliation inherit a sinful nature at birth. That cute little baby that seems so healthy is infected from the womb. You have it right now in your body. And there’s no doctor on earth that can get rid of it for you. Over time, it is working destruction in your body. It will eventually win and you will cease to exist on this earth as a result of it. 10 out of 10 people are guaranteed to die because of sin. It has a 100% mortality rate. If you contract the coronavirus (and I pray you don’t), you will probably recover from it. But sin is different. Modern medicine has only been able to slow down its destructive progress, and cannot stop it.

But, thanks to God, a cure has been made available to anyone who will take it. The best news is, it’s free! The high cost of this cure has been paid by someone else. His name is Jesus Christ. He has a 100% cure rate. All that come to him are cured. We all die physically once, but those who come to this Great Physician for His cure will be resurrected from the dead to never die again. They will live eternally because the infection of sin will have been totally eliminated!

Sadly, most people will reject this cure. They will think it’s too easy. Too simple. Too unscientific. Too narrow-minded. Only for those who need a crutch in life. In fact, many will scoff and make fun of the cure! Many will simply deny the reality of sin and its effects, and think it’s not serious enough to worry about. But it is deadly serious. God’s Word says that the only way to be cured is through Christ’s substitutionary death on the Cross. He took our sin upon Himself, and died so that that we don’t have to. He came to this world to do for us what we could never do for ourselves—pay the price for our sins by dying on the cross so that we could be cured once and for all. And He rose from the dead, proving the Cure was effective. This remedy is offered to everyone, but you must accept it!

HOW DO I GET THE CURE?

First Realize that you have a problem. Sin has infected you from birth.

Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. Psalm 51:5

Second If left untreated, sin will kill you, not only physically, but also spiritually.

For the wages of sin is death. Romans 6:23a

Third Realize that the only cure is only found in Jesus Christ, the Great Physician. He is the only one who can cure you.

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost. Titus 3:5

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. Ephesians 2:8

Fourth Put your entire trust in Jesus Christ, confessing Him as your Lord and Savior.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9

How should I live my new life as a Christian?

Once you receive Jesus, you will want to obey Him in these important things:

• Be baptized with water as a public proof that you have received Christ as your Lord and Savior.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38

• Join a local Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and fellowship with other believers for mutual encouragement and come under God’s government for his church.

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Hebrews 10:25

• Go out and tell others!

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15

Are you ready to come to the Great Physician to be cured of the greatest threat to you and all mankind? Or will you simply throw this little paper away, reject God’s remedy, be forever separated from God in the suffering of Hell? There is a cure. What will you do today?
