“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30).
Please, do not throw this tract away, but take a moment to read it and think of giving him a chance in your life. It is an invitation which you should try to honor. And I know you will never regret honoring it.
The answer to your problems is not alcohol, cigarettes, cocaine, heroin or any other type of drug. Instead of helping you, they will put you into more trouble. Alcohol, cigarettes, and drugs will cause you sickness, which may possibly lead to an untimely death. Alcohol and drugs can also lead you to do harm to your fellow human beings, thereby putting you in trouble with the law. Drugs and alcohol have caused the untimely death of many people; many have also been influenced by drugs and alcohol to do evil. Your life is too precious to end it in jail or in an untimely fashion.
Suicide is also not an answer to life’s problems. It is the gate way to hell fire. Why will you commit suicide when someone is ready to help you have a new life of peace and prosperity, a life full of love, dignity and respect? A life which, if you respond to his invitation and remain with him, will lead you to glory and eternal happiness in heaven.
Running to man is also not the answer. “Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man” (Psalm 60:11). “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes” (Psalm 118:8-9).
Have you been expelled from school because of bad behavior? There is still hope for you. Have you been released from prison and your friends, family and other people are treating you as an outcast? There is surely hope for you. Have you been finding it difficult to do well in your academic pursuits and you want to quit? Do not quit: a good education will help to take you far in life.
Perhaps, because of youthful exuberance, you had children when you were not ready and now you are stuck and you feel your destiny has been aborted. No, His love is so great that he can renew, strengthen and empower you to do great exploits. Your life is not yet over: do not lose hope, just honor his invitation. Have you done great evil and you think that there is no more mercy for you? No, you can still obtain mercy and a renewed life, if you will come to him now.
He has already paid the price for your sin on the cross. His blood was shed so that your sins maybe washed away. He rose from the dead for your justification (Isaiah 53:5; John 19:30; Romans 4:23-25). But you have to know: it is very wrong to do evil. Are you old and thinking your life has been a waste and that nothing good can come out of it? You are wrong: at hundred years of age, Abraham had Isaac, the child of promise.
If you will honor the invitation of Jesus Christ, the son of God, your life will once again have meaning and direction. You will have peace and contentment and, at the end, eternal life. Please believe it, because I have been there before and he gave me a second chance and a renewed life.
Do not spend your time, energy and resources on things that will hurt or ruin you in the end. ‘’Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness…. Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon” (Isaiah 55:1-2, 6-7).
Your creator, your God and your saviour is waiting to embrace you. Do not delay: run into his arms and it shall be well with you.
Please, say this prayer and mean it with your heart: “Heavenly father, I come to you as a prodigal son. I am sorry for all my sins. I repent of all of them, please forgive me. I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God, he died for me on the cross, and his blood was shed for the washing away of my sins. Lord Jesus, please come into my whole life, be my Lord and savior. Please, make me whole with your blood, erase my name from the book of death, and write my name in the book of life. Baptize me with the Holy Ghost and give me power to sin no more.”
Buy a Bible and begin to read it daily. If you cannot afford one, call or send us e-mail and we will get you one. Pray always and ask the Lord to lead you to a church where you will worship him in spirit and truth: “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24).
God bless you as you listen and obey.
