Dear Reader,
Life has certainly not been perfect, but God has been good to me. He has blessed me with a wonderful husband and beautiful children who have inspired my business name BALM (Blessed And Loved Mother) Designs. Although I love my family dearly, God’s love for me far exceeds the love that I have for them. God loved me when there was no way for me to return His love. He sent His only Son, Jesus, to live on this earth and to lovingly die for my sins and for the sins of every single person in the world.
John 3:16 says: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
God is not concerned with what level of sinner we are. Some would consider themselves to be “good” sinners, and others consider themselves to be “bad” sinners.
James 2:10 says: “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” A person may live their entire life perfectly and only have one bad thought, or tell one lie, but he is still unworthy of heaven.
Yet despite our wrong doing, God continues to love us.
Romans 5:8 says: “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Several years ago, I made the most important decision of my life. The decision of where I am going to spend eternity. I was unable to deliver myself from the punishment of hell because of my sin. I received Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior by asking Him to forgive me for all the wrong things that I have done. God has given me a peace that is unexplainable. I am no longer afraid of death because I know that I will spend eternity in heaven.
Romans 10:9-10 says: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
God is willing and ready to forgive anyone who asks. All you have to do is accept Him. In your own words, you can pray and admit your guilt as a sinner before a Holy God.
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13
God’s goodness and love has motivated me to know Him more and to share what He has done in my life with others.
