The God who created our world is a God of order. That which is disorderly, chaotic, or that which causes confusion is not of God. (1 Corinthians 14:33)
So what does that tell us about the world we live in where it seems as if chaos and confusion reign?
It means we have a real enemy (Satan) who works hard to make this world confused. (2 Corinthians 4:4)
For us to see and know the truth—to see and know that which is orderly and right—we must come to the God who created our world, the God the Bible calls the God of truth. (Deuteronomy 32:4)
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)
So in order to come to God we must allow Him to show us the way.
One of the reasons there is so much chaos is because Satan lies to us.
Satan tells us we are good. But what does the Bible say?
“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.” (Romans 3:10)
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
Satan tells us our goodness will earn us an eternity in heaven. But what does the Bible say?
“For the wages of sin is death.” (Romans 6:23)
“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” (Romans 5:12)
Satan tells us we can do it alone. But what does the Bible say?
“The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
“God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10)
Here’s the simple truth.
We’ve all sinned and deserve the punishment for those sins. However, God sent His perfect, sinless Son into the world to take our place in our rightfully deserved punishment.
Jesus lived, died, and resurrected from the grave to bring you the gift of salvation. Ultimately, He died a death He didn’t deserve to give you the life you couldn’t earn.
Satan can only offer chaos & disorder. God alone can offer the hope of eternal life through the work of His Son.
