All it takes is one…

One simple sneeze and a cold is spread,

“Bless you!” “Tanks!”

One small rumor and a scandal is spread.

One tricky bounce and the series is over.

One quick glance…

And the honeymoon is over.

One tough question and your mind gets scattered.

One false move and your brains get scattered.

One errant paper clip…

“Oops!”

...and a factory shut down.

“Double oops!”

One broken “Pressure cap valve oil control spring cam seal”...

...and a city shut down.

One big sale, and your trip to Hawaii is earned.

One little sin and your trip to Heaven isn’t!

“Gasp! What did you say?”

The Bible says…

“For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.” (James 2:10)

“But how can this be?”

Well, all it takes is one crack to make a broken window.

“But it’s just one small crack, Dad.”

“Doesn’t matter! It’s still broken!”

So it doesn’t matter how many sins you commit, you’re a sinner even if you commit only one!

And the Bible says…

“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

“But that includes everybody!”

“Is there any hope?”

Yes!

“Through the obedience of the one man (Jesus, God’s Son) the many will be made righteous.” (Romans 5:19)

“What did He do?”

“He (Jesus) has appeared once for all… to do away with sin by the sacrifice of Himself.” (Hebrews 9:26)

And then He rose from the dead to defeat death itself!

“What do I do?”

“Everyone who believes in Him (Jesus) receives forgiveness of sins through His name.” (Acts 10:43)

Through one decision to trust Jesus as your Savior, you can be forgiven and have eternal life.

“You’re the one for me, Lord. I’m trusting in you.”
