1: Is the Bible really the Word of God?
Can we depend on the Bible as being the final word of God to man? One truth that lingers in the mind of most people is that God has given us many infallible proofs both through history and personal experience. The intricacies of humanity and earth formations leave the evolutionists without credibility. Many explanations have been adopted but none can satisfy the intelligent consideration of our humanity. Something as simple but sublime as conception and life beginning at that moment cannot be answered by anything but the creative power of Him who created all things.
2: Where are we going when life is over?
The Word of God has made it very clear that there are only two destinies for mankind: heaven or hell. Many will not want to accept this fact, but if there is no hell, there is also no heaven; yet most religious organizations advance the fact that all will be in heaven. The bible reminds us that heaven is the destiny of all who have accepted the truth of God’s word and will one day be with Him in heaven to enjoy the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ forever.
3: Why will everyone not be in heaven?
The answer from God is simple but hard for many to grasp. When God created man he was perfect with a will to choose right and wrong. Man chose to sin against God and introduced sin into man’s nature so man is born a sinner and thus separated from God. The Bible states that “All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). In the same book chapter 5:12 we read “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” God is holy and His holiness demands punishment for sin. Heaven is a place were absolute holiness is required and leaves only one place for a guilty sinner.
4: Is there a remedy for this situation?
Man has sought many ways to remedy this but every means comes short: whether good works, doing the best you can, adherence to some religious denomination or any other way man has devised. Only God Himself was able to produce a plan, which was done in eternity past. The truth is now that, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
5: How or what do we need to believe?
First, it is obvious that a person must admit to their guilt as a sinner. Often this is a problem with some people who cannot see how a good person could be a sinner but the scripture makes it clear that we were born in sin and shapen in iniquity. It is not the kind or amount of sin, but sin itself which separates us from a holy God. We read, “The Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.” (1 John 4:14). His years of public ministry, healing the sick, giving sight to the blind, unstopping deaf ears, even raising men from the dead, proved He was God manifest in the flesh. The Lord Jesus Christ, God’s Son, made His way to the death of the Cross, bearing our sins in His own body on the tree. He shed His precious blood to put away our sins. He died that we sinners might live. The Apostle Paul said to the Philippian jailor in Acts 16:31, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.” If you today place your trust in Him you will possess eternal life. Jesus said, “Verily, verily [or truly, truly], I say unto you, He that heareth My word, and believeth on Him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” (John 5:24)
If you wish your future to be settled, believe God and accept the work of His Son and Heaven is assured as your future home.
Come make thy choice, for life or death eternal,
Christ or the world, the broad or narrow way.
The Father’s home or the abode infernal,
Eternal joy or sorrow, choose today.
