I’ve never been comfortable handing out gospel tracts, yet I think they are the best way to share the gospel of Christ with others in a way that is more of a gift—rather than trying to cram something down someone’s throat. I never wanted to do anything like that to another person. I don’t appreciate being done that way and so I wouldn’t want to do it to YOU. This is my walk. This is my testimony and I would like to share it with YOU if you care to read a little further.

Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”

Who am I? Who created me? Why am I here? What am I supposed to do?

I believe every person who was ever born has at some point in their life asked these very seemingly simple questions. But though they are simple, they are the most important questions we can ever ask. I know I did, and I have never stopped searching for the Truth.

John 14:6, Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

To find the truth, you have to find Jesus. It is no wonder that finding Him stirs up more strife, more division, and more controversy than finding anything else. If it wasn’t such a big deal, why on earth would anybody care so much whether you followed Him? If He wasn’t really who He is, then why can’t one pray or read their Bible in school? It’s a BIG DEAL and Satan knows it. He’ll use everything at his disposal to see that you never find the Truth. He’ll even use the truth mixed with 0.0009% lie to keep YOU from finding the Truth (Jesus). Fact of the matter is, from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21, God’s Word declares that Jesus was, is, and will be coming again. It declares why He came, why He hasn’t come again yet, and more. Find Jesus and you’ll find EVERYTHING.

Revelation 22:20, He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly.

Jesus is coming again and that is the news (good or bad) that I want to share with you. He is coming again, my friend, and I want you to know the answers to those questions that we have all asked. Within this little tract lies my testimony which outlines how I found the answers to those questions.

John 5:39, Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Consider this, my friend: books and authors have come and gone, yet the Holy Bible (God’s love letter to the world) has withstood the test of time. Why hasn’t Satan been able to abolish it? He has tried many times to rid the world of this book. God wants you to seek Him. He has provided this book to enable you to find Him. By virtue of me handing this tract to YOU today, it is Jesus’ way of standing at the door and knocking.

Revelation 3:20-21, Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

As I type my little tract, I pray that YOU will at least open your heart’s door just long enough to consider the person of Christ, who He is, and what He means to YOU. He won’t stay if you don’t want Him to, but I pray you don’t bid Him leave. It’s possible that He won’t come back. YOU have a choice to make in where YOU spend eternity. Jesus has provided a way for every person to come and spend eternity with Him. He is the only way. If you don’t spend eternity with Christ, you’ll spend it WITHOUT HIM. I pray that YOU will seek Him and that YOU and I will spend eternity with Him.

To seek Him, YOU have to “overcome.” Unfortunately, there is much to overcome in this life. No one is exempt, not even Christ when He came to take away the sins of the world. Satan tempted Him three times in the wilderness and He overcame. So why did Satan tempt Him? Why did Satan try to have Him killed as a babe wrapped in swaddling clothes? Think of this, if Christ had sinned (could have been tempted) then we wouldn’t have had the perfect lamb sacrifice as a propitiation for our sins.

Romans 3:23, For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

There is no sin in Heaven. If sin was there then it wouldn’t be Heaven, now would it? To be in the presence of God’s glory (to live in Heaven) requires absolute sinless perfection. Are you sinless? Can you achieve it on your own? When YOU close your eyes for the last time in this life, where will YOU be when YOU open them for eternity? Since the wages of sin is death, then YOU must die or (because of God’s grace) someone perfect can die in your place—a perfect lamb sacrifice. Have you ever met anyone perfect? In your whole life, have you ever met anyone who is perfect? Someone who will die in YOUR place? If all have sinned, then you haven’t. But, “Praise the LORD, for his mercy endureth forever.”

John 1:29, The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Notice there isn’t an “s” on that word sin. Ever wonder why? It’s because He paid the sin debt for you and me, for the whole world.

Acts 4:12, Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

That is the GOOD NEWS, my friend. Our Redeemer liveth, He has gone to prepare a place for YOU and me, and has sat down at the right hand of God.

John 14:2-3, In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

So here is my testimony:

When I was a very young girl, I was taught to be good. I had good parents. I was told about Jesus and I was also told about Heaven and Hell. I knew I didn’t want to die and go to Hell, so I did what I was told. I professed belief in Jesus Christ and believed that I had to be good and not live in sin in order to be saved and go to Heaven. So I lived ten years in that unsettled condition, hoping that I would live good enough to go to Heaven. Was I pretty good? Well, yes, I thought so, especially if I compared myself to everybody else. But from what I was reading in the Bible, I knew that I had to be perfect. Satan wants you to compare yourself to everybody else—don’t do that! Compare yourself to God’s standard of holiness as seen in Jesus Christ.

Well, my friend, I don’t put much stock in myself and that was the reason for my anxiety. Thankfully, while I was attending Western KY University, a sweet dear friend cared enough about my soul to share the true gospel of Christ with me under a street lamp at the top of the hill in front of McCormick Hall. Convinced I was saved and that her “once saved, always saved” religion wasn’t the truth, it would be three more years of anxiety before I would finally surrender and let Jesus take care of it all. ALL OF IT.

John 19:30, When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

When Jesus died on the cross in my place and He said, “It is finished,” it really was finished for me! Oh happy day and sweet peace when I let Him finish the work. It was only pride that ever let me think I could be good enough to live in God’s presence.

Dear Friend, I beg you to let Jesus be the propitiation (satisfactory payment) for your sins, too.

John 3:16-18, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Profess that you are a sinner and accept Jesus Christ as the payment for your sin. Then live for Christ, who died for YOU. Enter into His rest.

Ephesians 4:5-7, One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

I pray that you overcome anything that is hindering you from surrendering to Jesus Christ and accepting His offer of salvation from sin and eternal life.

Who am I? I am a child of God. I am a joint-heir with Christ.

Who created me? The living God. The Heavenly Father. The God of Israel. The great I AM.

Why am I here? Genesis 1 through Genesis 2

What am I supposed to do? As I await my Lord’s return I must be about my Father’s business and that is to share the good news that Jesus came so that we might have life, and that we might have it more abundantly.

John 10:9-11, I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
