What is better than candy, more beautiful than a butterfly, and full of more love than you have ever known? No, I'm not talking about fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies, I'm talking about Heaven! Heaven is much better than anything we have ever seen or known.

What is Heaven?

Heaven is a wonderful place that God has made for people who love Him.¹ The Bible describes it as a place where everyone is always happy, a place with no tears or crying or pain.² It is a very beautiful place, and those who have seen it use words like "glory" and "pure" and "gold" to describe it.³ It is a place where nobody will ever need to be hungry, or tired, or poor.⁴

That's great! How do I get there?

You can't get to Heaven in a car or bus, or even an airplane or spaceship. You can't buy a ticket to Heaven, and you can't sneak in when nobody is looking. There is only one way to get to Heaven, and Jesus is that way.⁵ Without Jesus, nobody can go to Heaven.⁶

Heaven is one of the two places God will put people after they die. The other place is called Hell, and is the worst place you could ever think of.⁷ How does God decide who goes to Heaven and who goes to Hell? The Bible says that God has books where he keeps track of the things people do.⁸ Have you ever told a lie, even a tiny one? We all do bad things like lying or even worse. God calls these bad things "sin" and writes them down in His books.

The problem is, sin cannot be in Heaven where God is.⁹ Because we have all sinned, we are all on the road to Hell.¹⁰ But God loves us so much, and doesn't want anybody to go to Hell.¹¹ That is why He sent His Son Jesus to take our place and die for our sins.¹² Because of what Jesus did when He died on the cross and rose again, God will forgive the sins of people who turn to Jesus for help.

Will I be there?

Heaven is a great place, but do you know for sure that you will be there? The Bible makes it very clear that if we realize that we are sinners, turn to Jesus for help, and trust Him completely, we will be saved from our sins.¹³ At the moment you ask Jesus to save you, God will wash away your sins and write your name in His "book of life."¹⁴ You will be on your way to Heaven!

Some people won't make it to Heaven because they don't believe what God has said in the Bible.¹⁵ Others will miss Heaven because they think they can do enough good things to get there.¹⁶ Others will have to suffer an eternity in Hell because they won't turn to Jesus for help.¹⁷ Don't be like them! Believe God's Word. Admit to God that you are a sinner, and thank Him for sending Jesus to take away your sins by dying on the cross.

Trust Jesus as your Savior today, and you will have something much better than candy. Your sins will all be forgiven, your name will be written in the book of life, and you will be on your way to Heaven!

¿Qué es mejor que los dulces, más hermoso que una mariposa y lleno de amor como nada que has conocido? No hablo de galletas de chocolate recién hechas, ¡sino del cielo! El cielo es mucho mejor que cualquier cosa que hemos visto o conocido.

¿Qué Es El Cielo?

El cielo es un lugar maravilloso que Dios hizo para los que le aman.¹ La Biblia lo describe como un lugar donde todos están siempre felices, donde no hay lágrimas ni dolores.² Es un lugar muy hermoso, y los que lo han visto lo describen con palabras como “gloria”, “puro” y “oro”.³ Allí nadie pasará hambre, ni estará cansado, ni será pobre.⁴

¡Estupendo! ¿Cómo Llego Allá?

No puedes llegar al cielo en un automóvil o bus, ni en avión ni nave espacial. No se venden billetes al cielo, ni hay manera de entrar sin permiso. Sólo hay un camino para llegar al cielo, y ese camino es el Señor Jesucristo.⁵ Nadie puede ir al cielo sin Jesucristo.⁶

El cielo es uno de dos lugares donde Dios pondrá a la gente después de la muerte. El otro lugar se llama el infierno, o lago de fuego. Es el peor lugar que podrías imaginar.⁷ ¿Cómo decide Dios quién va al cielo y quién al infierno? La Biblia dice que Dios tiene libros donde apunta todo lo que la gente hace.⁸ ¿Alguna vez has dicho una mentira, aunque fuera muy pequeña? Todos ha-cemos cosas malas como mentir o cosas peores. A esto Dios lo llama “pecado” y apunta todos los pecados en Sus libros.

El problema es que el pecado no puede estar en el cielo donde Dios mora.⁹ Porque todos hemos pecado, todos estamos en el camino al infierno.¹⁰ Pero Dios nos ama mucho y no quiere que nada vaya allá.¹¹ Por eso envió a Su Hijo Jesucristo para sustituirnos y morir por nuestros pecados.¹² Debido a esto que Jesucristo hizo cuando murió y resucitó, Dios perdonará los pecados de las personas que confían en Jesucristo para ser salvas.

¿Estaré Allá?

El cielo es un lugar maravilloso, ¿pero sabes por cierto si estarás allá? La Biblia aclara que si nos reconocemos como pecadores, nos arrepentimos y pedimos perdón a Jesuscristo, confiando totalmente en Él, seremos salvos de nuestros pecados.¹³ En el momento que confías en Jesucristo para salvarte, Dios lavará tus pecados y escribirá tu nombre en Su “Libro de Vida”.¹⁴ ¡Estarás en el camino al cielo!

Algunos no irán al cielo porque no creen lo que Dios ha dicho en la Biblia.¹⁵ Otros no llegarán porque creen que pueden hacer buenas obras para ganar la entrada.¹⁶ Otros sufrirán en el infierno por toda la eternidad porque no quieren confiar en Jesucristo para salvarles.¹⁷ ¡No seas como ellos! Cree a la Palabra de Dios. Reconoce que eres pecador y arrepiéntete. Confía en el Señor Jesucristo como Señor y Salvador y da gracias a Dios por enviarle al mundo para quitar tus pecados al morir por ti en la cruz.

Confía en Jesucristo hoy como tu Señor y Salvador, y tendrás algo mucho mejor que los dulces. ¡Todos tus pecados serán perdonados, tu nombre estará en el Libro de Vida y estarás en el camino al cielo!
