More “Fear Nots”
The presence of so much fear in the world is evidence that the Bible is a much neglected book. Some Bible students report that there are 365 “fear not” admonitions in the Scriptures. Thus each day for the Christian should be free from fear. We list a few of these precious verses for the blessing of the reader. Look up others for more blessing.
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteousness” (Isaiah 41:10).
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7).
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea” (Psalm 46:1,2).
“And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will show to you today” (Exodus 14:13).
“Behold, the LORD thy God hath set the land before thee: go up and possess it, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged” (Deuteronomy 1:21).
“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, He it is that doth go with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee” (Deuteronomy 31:6).
“And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely show thee kindness for Jonathan thy father’s sake ... and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually” (2 Samuel 9:7).
“And Elijah said unto her, Fear not…. For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth” (1 Kings 17:13,14).
“And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD ” (1 Chronicles 28:20).
“Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s” (2 Chronicles 20:15).
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me” (Psalm 23:4).
“But now thus saith the LORD that created thee … Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art Mine” (Isaiah 43:1).
“In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me” (Psalm 56:11).
“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matthew 10:28).
“And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for He is risen” (Matthew 28:5,6).
“But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled” (1 Peter 3:14).
“He laid His right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the First and the Last: I am He that liveth, and was dead” (Revelation 1:17,18).
