Unfortunately, we sometimes fall into the same divisive habits of the world – forming cliques, squabbling over frivolous things, and fighting for positions of perceived power. As much as we try to ignore the struggles of this world, we can’t deny that they are there. The Bible gives us a reason for the brokenness we see and experience. God’s Word teaches us about an unseen spiritual war that is being fought for our souls, with our eternal destinies at stake. Thankfully, He has also told us where to find victory. “Even amid the troubling realities of evil in this world, you can live with the joy-filled hope of eternal life in God’s kingdom, and proclaim “the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9).
