It’s simple to be saved! Are you saved?
The desire of God Almighty, who created the heavens and the earth, is that all mankind should be saved. (1 Timothy 2:4) Thus, He has made salvation so easy that even a child can understand it. It’s as simple as ABC!
Acknowledge you’re a sinner in need of salvation.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 3:23
“For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.” Ecclesiastes 7:20
Believe the gospel.
“... I declare unto you the gospel ... how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” 1 Corinthians 15:1, 3-4
Confide in Jesus Christ.
(The word ‘confide’ means to trust. You must place your confidence in Jesus Christ to save you.)
“And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.” Matthew 12:21
“In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,” Ephesians 1:13
This means you must trust in Jesus Christ alone, and not in anyone else (Mary, religious leaders, etc.) or anything else (baptism, tithing, sacraments, etc.) to save you. Salvation is the free gift of God by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
“Therefore as by the offence of one [Adam] judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one [Jesus] the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.” Romans 5:18
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;” Ephesians 1:7
Beware false gospels that persuade people to trust in their own works—from seemingly harmless works like confession and prayer, to the more prominent works of repentance of sins and baptism.
“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;” Titus 3:5
“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” 2 Corinthians 11:3
What is Your Decision?
I choose to RECEIVE the Lord Jesus Christ as my Saviour.
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” John 1:12
“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” John 11:25-26
-OR-
I choose to REJECT the Lord Jesus Christ and pay for my own sin.
“…he that believeth not shall be damned.” Mark 16:16
“In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:” 2 Thessalonians 1:8
“It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” Hebrews 10:31
If you have decided to trust Jesus Christ as your Saviour:
• READ the King James Bible. Beware of bible perversions. (Psalm 12:6-7)
• PRAY and fellowship with God daily. (Philippians 4:6, 1 Thessalonians 5:17)
• ASSEMBLE with Bible-believing Christians. (Hebrews 10:25)
• FOLLOW the Lord in baptism. (Matthew 28:19)
• PREACH the gospel to others that they might be saved. (Mark 16:15)
