That Nagging Question
In the midst of all the disturbing news about the coronavirus (COVID-19), is there a nagging question that keeps tugging at the back of your mind? Is that question, “Where will I go if I die?”
According to the Bible, there are only two destinations for your soul – heaven, to dwell with God in His kingdom of light and love – or hell, to live forever apart from God in darkness, pain and despair. Did you know that you can (and need to!) choose now where you will go after death?
God loves us! He wants all of us to be with Him in heaven. That’s why He sent Jesus to be the perfect sacrifice to pay for all of our sins when He died on the cross. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). His resurrection from the dead proved that He is the Son of God and has the power to forgive sins and give us eternal life.
If you believe God’s word, the Bible, and believe that Jesus is the Son of God who paid for your sins, simply ask Him to be your Savior. Then whenever you die, you will enter His wonderful kingdom to dwell with Him forever.
If you reject God’s word, and reject His Son, then you are also rejecting God’s kingdom and making your own choice to live forever without God. Please, if you have never asked Jesus to be your Savior, won’t you turn away from your sins and turn to Him today? Then when that nagging question, “Where will I go if I die?” comes to mind, you will know the answer. “I will go to heaven to be with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.”
“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on Him” (John 3:36).
