Basic questions that have been asked for thousands of years:

• What is my origin?

• Why am I here?

• What is my purpose?

• What is my end?

The underlying fundamental question is: what is the meaning of life?

Some would say “life is for the living” or “live your best life now.” “Let’s eat and drink for tomorrow we die.” “Just do what is right in your own eyes.” All kinds of answers from all different points of view. These answers seem to be right in the sense that they have a certain degree of truth. However, they fail miserably to explain or make sense of the human condition. These answers don’t answer the fundamental question. The problem is all creation, both human beings and nature, is subject to destruction. Ten out of ten people die, and human answers can’t solve this problem. Fortunately for us, God, the creator of the Universe, has given us the answer. It’s not found in ANY religion or set of beliefs but in a person, Jesus Christ the son of the one true and living God.

The world’s problem is sin: “Sin entered the world through one man [Adam], and death through sin” (Romans 5:12). “The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus” (Romans 6:23). Jesus came to pay the penalty for each and every person’s sin. He willingly went to the cross and was crucified for your sin and everyone else’s. God’s word declares all humanity guilty and God in His perfect heaven cannot allow sin to be in His presence. “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). God gave His Son who was sinless to be the sin bearer for us, so that through Him we might become the righteousness of God. The only thing anyone needs to do is believe on the name of Jesus—that He is the Son of God. Repent of your sin and turn to God, asking Jesus to forgive you and save you from eternal separation from God and to spend eternity in His perfect heaven.

Jesus walked this earth 2000 years ago, never wrote one word down, never traveled more than 80 miles from His hometown, and was not born into any social or religious elite class. Yet, His teachings and His life, death, burial, and resurrection are spoken of to this day.

Jesus said “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in Me will never die” (John 11:25-26).

God so desires a personal, eternal relationship with you He spared not even His own Son to make it possible. God allowed His own Son to be crucified as an acceptable sacrifice so that in His perfect righteousness, He allows the true believer in His Son to live with Him forever.
