When in the course of human events it becomes compelling for one person to dissolve the bonds which have enslaved him, and to assume among the principalities and powers of heaven and earth, the free and regenerated station to which the Grace of God avails him, a decent respect to the state of mankind requires that he should declare the causes which impel him to such exchange.

We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men, except one: the Man Christ Jesus, are created equal and are spiritually dead and morally bankrupt, yet they are endowed by their Creator with access to obtain certain unalienable rights, that among these are Eternal Life, Liberty, Fullness of Joy and a Royal Position in the Kingdom of God.

That to secure these rights, The Way, The Truth and The Life was revealed among men, deriving just power from the Decree of God Almighty.

That whenever any form of self determination becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Privilege of the People to turn and to run from it, and to accept Gracious Government, laying the foundation on The One Principal and accepting His powers into their unmerited form, as to them shall seem most certain to effect their Eternal Safety and Endless Joy. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Natural Self-Government, long established, can not be perfected by any means; and accordingly all experience hath shown, that mankind are more disposed to evil, while evils are enticing, than to right themselves by abolishing any forms to which they are attracted. But when a long train of love and grace, pursuing invariable the same object, evinces a design to rescue them from absolute Despotism, it is their Joy, it is His Grace, to throw off such government, and to provide new life and their certain security. Such has been the folly of my willing submission to enslavement; and such is now the necessity which overflows from me to cry out Abba Father for the new and perfect system: In Dependence on His So Great Salvation.

The history of the present Prince of This World is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute anarchy and the ultimate destruction of all persons. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid, yet perishing, world:

There is none righteous, no, not one. (Romans 3:10)

All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)

The wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23)

Your adversary, the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. (1 Peter 5:8)

God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. (John 3:17)

There is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.” (John 14:6)

Jesus said, “He that hath My commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth Me: and he that loveth Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him. (John 14:21)

Life

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. (1 John 5:11-12)

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:18)

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:1-2)

Liberty

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:32)

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. (2 Corinthians 3:17)

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound. (Isaiah 61:1)

Fullness of Joy

Jesus said, “These things have I spoken unto you, that My joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.” (John 15:11)

Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. (Jude 24-25)

Self Determination

There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. (Proverbs 14:12)

Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard Him. (Hebrews 2:1-3)

Position in the Kingdom of God

Jesus answered, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” (John 3:5-7)

Perfect Government

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgement and with justice from henceforth even for ever. (Isaiah 9:6-7)
