The following information is life-changing:

Please don’t miss a single word of this tract; even if you get distracted or discouraged. Promise yourself that you will read all of it to the end.

Question #1: Are you good enough to go to heaven on your own? The Bible tells us that “all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Also, James 2:10 says “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” (Remember your promise.)

Question #2: Are you righteous enough to go to heaven? Romans 3:10b reads, “there is none righteous, no not one” and Isaiah 64:6b says, “but all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.” Matthew 5:20 reads, “For I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.” Keep in mind the scribes and Pharisees were known to be very, very religious people (but most didn’t accept Christ).

So, after reading this, are you ready to just throw your hands up and say, “This is unattainable. It’s impossible, It’s just too hard!” Well, congratulations, there is hope for you, because you’ve realized you can’t do this. And you’re right—you can’t—but God can. Your own righteousness won’t get you to heaven, but look at this next verse very carefully: “For He [God] hath made him [Jesus] to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus took our sins upon Himself when He died on the cross so that we can receive the righteousness of God.

So then, would not our righteousness far exceed that of the scribes and Pharisees? The answer is Yes! So how do we obtain this righteousness? It is a free gift. You can’t earn it or work for it. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).

To change your life forever:

You have to realize that your life is going in the wrong direction. Whether it is drugs, alcohol, the pride of life, the lust of the eye (materialism/coveteousness), the lust of the flesh, or maybe even you are a church-goer and you’re trying to use your good works, or abiding in God’s laws for your salvation. “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” (Proverbs 16:25). No matter what path you’ve been on, you must realize that salvation only comes from trusting in Jesus Christ as your Savior.

You have to repent. Isn’t it time you changed your mind about the direction your life is headed? Turn to God, who sent His son, Jesus, to die for your sins.

Put your trust in Christ. Let go of everything else you have been trusting in to get you to heaven, ask God (right now) for forgiveness of your sins, in the name of His son, Jesus, who willingly shed his blood on the cross for you. If you put your trust completely in Jesus, He has promised to save you.

Romans 10:9 reads, “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

He will put you on a new path. Accepting Christ is just the beginning of the journey. To grow in your relationship with God, read His word (KJV Bible), speak with Him through prayer, and seek fellowship at a Bible-believing church where you can also be baptized. If you just received Christ as your Savior, tell others what He has done for you!

“If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
