The Princess Bride
In this 1987 movie, the villain Vizzini falls over dead but the hero Westley survives after they both drink a poisoned drink.
An incident in the Bible that is very similar is in the Old Testament when a woman who was suspected of being unfaithful to her husband would drink water that would bring a curse if she had been unfaithful.
"When he has made her drink the water, then it shall be, if she has defiled herself and behaved unfaithfully toward her husband, that the water that brings a curse will enter her and become bitter, and her belly will swell, her thigh will rot" (Numbers 5:27).
Ghostbusters
Another movie incident related to the Bible was in the 1984 movie Ghostbusters, when character Winston Zeddemore remarked “I love Jesus’ style.”
The writer of Psalm 119:159 wrote:
"Consider how I love Your precepts."
One could spend all day looking for similar occurrences in movies or real life that also happened in the Bible, but what’s more important is if one has believed the Gospel of Christ. One has to realize they are a sinner and they deserve the judgement of God.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23).
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).
"For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve" (1 Corinthians 15:3-5).
Also it is not a person’s good works or good conduct that gets them into heaven but faith alone.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9).
So put your faith in Jesus Christ today!
